Road Safety Practitioner Foundation Course
Developed by the Academy and launched in 2013, the Road Safety Practitioner Foundation Course aims to provide participants with an overview of the knowledge and skills they need to effectively and safely deliver a road safety educational intervention.
Course fees: £349 for Road Safety GB Academy members & £499 for non-members (both plus VAT)
Behavioural Change Course
This two-day course covers: understanding road user behaviour; behavioural models; behavioural change techniques; behavioural insights; mapping behaviours; and developing interventions using behavioural models and change techniques. The course also provides participants with planning tools that can be used to review and develop interventions.
Course fee: £195 for Road Safety GB Academy members & £275 for non-members (both plus VAT)
Behavioural Change Course – one-day upgrade
Road Safety GB’s one-day behavioural course introduced road safety practitioners to the concept of behavioural change. This course was superseded in 2018 with a more in-depth two-day Behavioural Change Course.
Course fee: £110 for Road Safety GB Academy members (plus VAT) & £170 for non-members (plus VAT)
Media Training Course
This two-day course covers a wide range of topics including the media landscape, the role of PR and media management, writing for news and interview scenarios including TV/OB and radio.

ADI CCL Training Course
Working in partnership with eDriving Solutions, Road Safety GB has developed this two-day course to help driving instructors to develop the vital client centred learning (CCL) skills that are required to meet the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency’s (DVSA) new Standards Check for driving instructors, which was introduced in April 2014.
Course fee: £140 plus VAT
Road Safety Delivery in a Primary School Setting
This one-day course is designed to develop a road safety practitioner’s skills to deliver an effective and engaging road safety intervention to primary school children.
Course fees: £115 for Road Safety GB Academy members & £175 for non-members (both plus VAT)
Road Safety Evaluation
This two-day course covers a wide range of topics including reasons for evaluation, E-Valu-It, before and after studies, and how to plan and pilot an evaluation.

Social Media Course
This two-day course covers a wide range of topics including an introduction and history of social media, social media grandees and niche networks, building a fan base and measuring and evaluating impact.

Presenters’ Course
This one-day course aims to help develop a road safety practitioner’s ability to deliver an engaging presentation to older children and adults.

Road Safety Data Course
This two day course covers a range of topics including: Road safety in context; what is evidence?; Provenance; The STATS19 standard; Understanding the limitations; Interpretation; Counts and rates; Population and traffic; The network dimension; Spatial analysis; Route analysis; The people dimension; Residency and socio demographic factors; Contributory factors.
